Cornerstones of Care is proud to announce the appointment of Chad Harris, CAE, as Chief Development Officer. Harris will plan, direct and coordinate all major fundraising activities and special projects associated with meeting and increasing funding and organizational development goals, including the upcoming Chiefs Charity Game on August 9, 2018, at Arrowhead Stadium.

Denise Cross, president and CEO, says, "I am excited to welcome Chad to the executive leadership team of Cornerstones of Care. His commitment to philanthropy and community impact will greatly amplify our work in Kansas City and all the communities we serve throughout Kansas, Missouri and beyond. I look forward to working with Chad to advance our mission of partnering for safe and healthy communities.”

Harris holds his master’s degree in higher education administration from Indiana University and is a current doctoral candidate at the University of Missouri in leadership and organizational development. His dissertation research is on the leadership behavior of nonprofit board presidents. Harris previously served as the executive director of FarmHouse Fraternity’s national organization, based in Kansas City, for more than 10 years. He began his career in development and organizational advancement with the Indiana University Foundation and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“I am eager to contribute to Cornerstones of Care’s rich history in Kansas City and further develop its commitment to community engagement in all service locations. As our scope of care continues to broaden, so will our philanthropy,” shares Harris, who is deeply engaged in the Kansas City community. He is past president of the Centurions Alumni Board and a graduate of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Centurions Leadership Program. He currently volunteers with the GenListen Advisory Council of KCUR radio and Shepherd Center Central’s 70 Over 70 Award committee.

Scott Hall, senior vice president at the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce says, “I am so excited about Chad Harris’ addition to the Cornerstones of Care staff. It is great for our community when a person with passion and skill is paired with an organization that has the same. That is definitely the case with Chad and Cornerstones of Care. Chad is a thoughtful, collaborative, and committed leader in our community and I know he will bring those same qualities to his work at Cornerstones of Care.”

Cornerstones of Care warmly welcomes Harris to its trauma-informed team of professionals who are dedicated to keeping children safe and families together.
