The Kansas City Business Journal recently announced that two Cornerstones of Care executives have achieved the publication’s highest accolades.  

Cornerstones of Care President and CEO Merideth Rose was honored as one of the area’s 25 “Women Who Mean Business” and CFO Jill Beck was named as one of 12 “CFO of the Year” honorees.   

The Women Who Mean Business honor celebrates top female leaders who have made significant contributions to their industries and communities. This year’s list saw 240 women nominated. Merideth’s fellow honorees included women representing the Kansas City Chiefs, Q39 restaurants, and Hallmark.  

As CEO of Cornerstones of Care, Merideth helped lead the effort toward a new, three-year strategic plan, championed increased employee compensation to be more competitive in the marketplace, and continues to foster an inclusive organizational culture.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized among such an inspiring group of women,” said Merideth. “This award means our work, individually and collectively, matters. As one Cornerstones of Care team with one mission, we exist to turn what some may call broken into miraculous breakthroughs of healing and hope.” 

The Kansas City Business Journal recognized Jill Beck as one of the top financial leaders in the metropolitan area who demonstrated the ability to “move the needle” for their organizations and their involvement in the community. Jill and the other top CFOs will be honored at an August 1 event at Loews Kansas City Hotel.  

Under Jill’s leadership, Cornerstones of Care has seen significant improvements in financial operations, including a $1 million reduction in accounts receivable and increased revenues through strategic credentialing and more mindful, proactive purchasing through newly realigned procurement efforts.
