Provide Mental Health Support to Early Education Centers
Cornerstones of Care is building a groundbreaking health care team to address mental, emotional, and behavioral health care for children from birth to preschool age, their families, and staff at five early childhood centers in metropolitan Kansas City.
Cornerstones of Care will serve as the primary partner for this project, funded by a three-year grant from the Anchors of Tomorrow Fund established by the Hall Family Foundation. These positions will provide assessment, case management, counseling, and training. The University of Missouri-Kansas City will be a funded partner to provide interns as well as research and evaluation of the project’s success. The team will identify infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with unmet behavioral health needs and increase services to promote long-term well-being.
Job Openings and Requirements
The positions require a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field. In addition, applicants must have work experience, meet licensing requirements, and be bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Family Resource Navigators
The FRN will support children, families, and center personnel in their assigned location to address personal, emotional and social problems that interfere with development and school success.
Clinical Managers
The Clinical Manager is responsible for providing direct clinical services as well as supervision of mental health services, case management, individual programming, and business aspects for the Early Childhood Collaboration.
Mental Health Care Providers
The Mental Health Care Provider will support students and families in their assigned location to address personal, emotional and social problems that interfere with development and school success.
Social Emotional Support Specialists
The SESS will support children, families, and center personnel in the center to address personal, emotional and social problems that interfere with development and school success.
Therapists
The Therapist will support center team members and personnel with individual therapeutic and crisis management support to address personal, emotional and social problems that interfere with their ability to provide the best education, services and support possible to children.
