If you’ve ever considered providing a safe and loving home for one of the many children in foster care, now might be the perfect time to take the first step toward becoming a licensed foster parent.
Prospective foster parents in Kansas and Missouri are invited to attend our Foster Care Information Exchange event on Tuesday, May 28, at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center. The free event is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and aims to provide valuable insight and guidance for those interested in foster care.
Drinks and appetizers will be provided as attendees explore a variety of table topics related to foster care in Kansas and Missouri. The evening will begin with a brief 10-minute presentation at 5:30 p.m., after which participants are encouraged to join and leave table discussions as needed. Foster care experts from Cornerstones of Care and current foster parents will be on hand to answer questions and facilitate the discussions.
This event coincides with the release of Foster Careland: The Ultimate Adventure, a self-guided, interactive digital resource designed to take prospective foster parents through the step-by-step process of becoming licensed. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about this innovative tool and leave with clear action steps and information to begin their journey as foster parents.
Whether you’re curious about foster care or ready to start the process, the Foster Care Information Exchange provides a casual learning environment to gather information and connect with experts and others considering foster care.
