HOME-BASED PREVENTION SERVICES
At Cornerstones of Care, we always strive to be where children and families need us most, and sometimes that’s in the home. We offer home-based prevention services to help families remove some of the day-to-day stresses in their lives.
Family Services Program
Recognizing the importance of the family unit, our in-home family services program helps Kansas families who are struggling to safely alleviate challenging situations and may be in danger of being separated. Often feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to turn, our team connects the family to a network of community supports ranging from parenting education, life skills, stress management and improving coping skills. By relieving some of a family's worries and burdens, they can focus on just being together and connecting with one another.
This program is available to residents of the following Kansas counties who have been referred by the Kansas Department for Children & Families: Atchison, Douglas, Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte.

We know that traumatic and adverse experiences can significantly affect a person’s ability to successfully function at home, school and work. That’s why we offer outpatient counseling to help individuals and families address the effects of trauma in their lives. We’re a big proponent of being where children and families need us most, which is why we offer in-home outpatient counseling and therapy during the day, evening or even the weekend.
