JE spent his childhood in foster care after experiencing significant trauma. When he became a young adult, he was referred to our Pathways transitional living program where he got his GED and learned life skills while obtaining his CNA certification.
Stephen and Jen typically thrive despite cognitive developmental delays, but felt in over their heads after having their first child, Chloe. Lacking a support network to learn the best way to care for their baby, Chloe was removed from the home. Determined to be reunited with their child, Stephen and Jen worked with our Solution-Based Casework team to develop the tools needed to bring her home.
When Caleb came to our therapeutic day treatment school, he had difficulty regulating his emotions, which lead to some issues with his reading skills. But working at his own pace in an environment where he could thrive, his reading comprehension improved as well as his ability to self-regulate.
